- Zellweger, 36, and Chesney, 37, stunned Hollywood and the country music community with their beach wedding on May 9 at Cruz Bay in St. John, U.S. Virgin Islands. The bride wore a gown by her favorite designer, Carolina Herrera. It was the first marriage for both.
- Renée Zellweger & Kenny Chesney's 8 month relationship and 4 month marriage ended when Zellweger filed for an annulment on Wednesday, September 14. In legal papers filed in Los Angeles County Superior Court, Zellweger listed "fraud" as the reason for the breakup. This is unusual in California, where most marriages end in divorce due to "Irreconcilable differences." However, irreconcilable differences are not a reason for getting an annulment under California law (also called "voiding" a marriage).
- Following rampant rumors on the net (i.e. Chesney is this and couldn't do that) Zellweger released a statement on September 16, in which she explained that the term 'fraud' was "simply legal language and not a refection of Kenny's character." ... "I would personally be very grateful for your support in refraining from drawing derogatory, hurtful, sensationalized or untrue conclusions," she said. "We hope to experience this transition as privately as possible." (Those damn press releases, huh?)

- The twosome made their first public outing as a couple at the 9th Annual Teen Choice Awards in August 2005.
- We received a note that Rachel McAdams was seen on the arm of a new man at the Toronto Film Festival. While we could not find enough info to positively confirm this rumor, we did learn that Ryan and Rachel were born at the same hospital - St. Joseph's Hospital in London, Ontario - she on 10/7/76, he on 11/12/80. How cute is that?
Evangeline Lilly and Dominic Monaghan, LOST (tv) (2005)
- On LOST, Charlie (Monaghan) may adore Claire while both Jack and Sawyer have the hots for Kate (Lilly), but away from ABC's cameras, rumors abound that Dominic and Evangeline have been secretly dating for months.
- In October 2005, Dom and Evie were reportedly seen checking out $50,000 engagement rings at posh jewelry stores along Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills.

Christopher Knight and Adrianne Curry, The Surreal Life (tv) (2005).
- Knight and Curry became engaged in June 2005, capping the first season of their reality show My Fair Brady on VH-1.
- They are planning a wedding with VH1 there to capture it all in a sequel to My Fair Brady.
