Backstage Creations created the Talent Retreat for the 12th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards®, which was simulcast live from the Shrine Auditorium on TNT and TBS on January 29, 2006. This was where Hollywood's top film and television talent gathered to meet with individual product representatives to learn about new items being introduced in mass market and high end retail locations in 2006. Angela Bassett, Benjamin Bratt, Christopher Meloni, Dakota Fanning, Don Cheadle, Ed Harris, Eva Longoria, Isaiah Washington, Jamie Lee Curtis, Jeremy Piven, Chris "Ludacris" Bridges, Marcia Cross, Mariska Hargitay, Matt Dillon, Patricia Arquette, Pierce Brosnan, Randy Quaid, Samuel L. Jackson, Shirley Temple Black, Terrence Howard and William Shatner were just a few of the stars who lit up the retreat.
Sarah Rosenhaus Interior Design reteamed with Wall Kandy photographer Julie Chytrowsky to create the backstage retreat. The comfortable furnishings included a plush couch and love seat with plenty of elegant throw pillows to relax upon.

The most valuable perfume in the world, Amouage, combines the 2000 year perfumery heritage of Arabia with modern French perfume technology to create a unique product. Terrence Howard liked the fragrance so much, he wore it out of the lounge. Marcia Cross and Pierce Brosnan were also intrigued by the unique scent.
Reps from Beverly Hills Physicians.com described the latest beauty and wellness procedures, including Botox, Microdermabrasion and Kawesch Lasik surgery.
Coby Electronics introduced the new TF-DVD500, a sleek, stylish, ultra-compact portable DVD player that offers entertainment and convenience for the person on the go. This electronic gadget comes with an adjustable stand, remote control, slim rechargeable battery pack, headphones and carrying case and sells for less than $200. Samuel L. Jackson, Pierce Brosnan and Terrence Howard became instant fans.
Lamarthe USA debuted its Spring/Summer selection at the 2006 SAG Awards™. Lamarthe handbags from Paris are designed and crafted from fine Italian leather. Jamie Lee Curtis yelled out how much she LOVED the Exception Hobo in black. Angela Basset explained how her pick of the Ivory Exception bag was the perfect fit to accessorize her summer wardrobe. Marcia Cross said “I love these! Lamarthe handbags are edgy, but really refined at the same time.”
LeVian Time®, available at Barney’s and Saks Fifth Avenue, offered four watch collections from which to choose - Duo, SoHo, DeLano, DeLano Midi - some embracing an elegant classic look, others in trend-setting sporty shapes. Jeremy Piven picked the brown band to match his leather jacket. Desperate Housewives star Shawn Pyfrom came in already wearing the Black Square Levian explaining how he loved Levian watches. William Shatner called the day after the show to order his watch and Terrence Howard picked the blue watch because that is his favorite color.
All the celebrities picked out their favorite styles from Marchon Eyewear including frames by Fendi, Coach and Michael Kors.
A Cognac Diamond Necklace designed by Mouawad for the Natural Color Diamond Association was a big hit with all the stars. Angela Bassett loved hearing about the different colors of genuine diamonds that are available. Eva Longoria was awed by the selection of colors available in the diamond jewelry and Patricia Arquette came to the retreat before going on stage to borrow a brilliant bronze diamond necklace. Mariska Hargitay was so thankful for the nicely designed piece.
PHYTO - PHYTO, the experts in botanical hair care, made its home backstage in the official gift lounge and at the hair and makeup stations where Hollywood's A-listers, including the cast of Desperate Housewives, Naveen Andrews and Jeremy Piven stopped by to receive a hair and scalp analysis and customized giftbags. As an extra treat, they also received a gift certificate for a complimentary shampoo, cut, blowdry and color-treatment by celebrity stylist Marie Ferro at The Colony Salon in Malibu. Angela Bassett loved Phyto's PS Extreme Shine spray and wanted to try Phytophanere while Marcia Cross selected PhytoCitrus vital radiance shampoo for herself and a friend. Benjamin Bratt selected products for his beautiful wife, Talia. We learned that Eva Longoria already uses Phytomist, an instant hydrating conditioner! She introduced her beau, Tony Parker, to Phyto Specific. James Denton and his wife also love Phyto - she picked up ultra dry and he loved the smell of Phytojoba.

Marcia Cross revealed that the shu uemura brand is a staple on the set of Desperate Housewives.
